Frequently asked questions
Remedial massage is a type of therapeutic massage therapy. It is a combination of several manual techniques aimed at treating the cause of musculoskeletal dysfunctions, not just providing pain relief as the pain is just a result of malfunctions or inflammation.
Remedial massage is uniquely soft and deep tissue manipulations that affect not only muscles but also ligaments, fascia and restore their robust functionality and nutrition.
This kind of massage therapy can be beneficial for preventing sports injuries and holding your muscles in right and healthy condition.
Massage therapy has many benefits for your health and wellbeing:
1. Preventing and treating different muscle, joints, spine problems and sport injuries
2. Increasing blood circulation and lymphatic flow
3. Strengthening the immune system, increasing endorphin hormone (hormone of “happiness”) and improving all metabolism processes without using medications
4. Improving joints motion
5. Helping with sleeping problems, chronic physical and emotional tiredness
6. Massage therapy is one of the primary treatment for losing weight and achieving an anti-cellulite effect
In general, massage therapy can be divided into treatment courses (aimed at treating particular health issue) and prevention massages (if you don’t have any issues , just some occasional stiffness). Treatment course depends on whether:
I. You have acute or dull pain.
II. You have one affected area ( for example neck issues ) or few.
III. How long you are suffering from your problem
IV. You do exercises or not.
V. Your individual physiology, lifestyle, age etc.
Usually treatment course consists of 5-10 sessions , 1-3 times a week or less if do prevention massages.
I use only professional and organic massage oils (arnica massage oil, calendula massage oil etc). These great natural oils help to achieve the aimed result . For example , Arnica massage oil is very good for deep manipulation , sport massage or remedial technique as Arnica has very good anti-inflation effect and improves blood circulation, helps to reduce or prevent acute muscle soreness that could be after deep massage techniques.
No, your skin won’t be oily as I use natural and organic oils that have excellent absorption and I will also wash off any remaining oil from your skin with soft paper towels.
Most of us feel occasional muscle stiffness. Usually, it builds up in our muscles from work out or long-term sitting at work. There are a few main ways how you can prevent this:
I. Do more stretching exercise before and after work out. Unusually for a group of muscles that you had training for.
II. If you have desk work, try to do necessary stretching exercise a couple of times a day.
III. If you have an opportunity, visit sauna or hammam at least once a week. This helps to improve blood circulation and metabolism processes.
IV. Regular massage therapy helps to relieve stiffness and improve nutrition processes in your muscles and around each vertebral disk in your spine. These factors contribute to your muscles and spine to be healthy, develop in the right way and prevent any injuries.
V. Healthy diet: general metabolism is directly related to nutrition processes in your muscles and spine.
